Drugs, Schmugs...

Thought I would dedicate my next post to Drugs – (just ask Frank Gallagher) I am well aware that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, “..It’s a free country, we can do what we want...” Blah blah blaaah...But I can’t stand them!

I’m on about the illegal kind, not the kind you get from your local chemist when your feeling a tad under the weather.

It really irritates me when I’m out with my girlies to see someone tripping off their head on Cocaine and even Ecstasy. Why can’t those people enjoy their night out on booze? Do they need that extra ‘kick’ to make their night more worthwhile? I’m quite happy to have a few alcoholic tipples and never have the need to touch the ‘stuff’..

..The thing that annoys me the most is that drugs these days are so easy to get hold of. If wanted to get the ‘stuff’ I would know exactly where and who to go to – this I absolutely hate.

When I saw the rats of society or otherwise known as ‘closet basers’ it makes me sick to know that I’m sharing my space with them. I can’t understand why they feel the need to use or take or whatever it is these people do. I'd rather have a night that I can remember thanks!

Please let me know what you think about this topic. What do you think about drugs? Do you know anyone that takes/uses drugs? I'd be happy to know what you think.

Thanks for reading, Franky.

..Chris Moyles - THE Legend...

I don’t know what it is, but I’m a huge fan of Chris Moyles. A lot of people think his humour is arrogant, not needed and too negative but I think it’s hilarious especially when he gets away with it.

Chris is well known for increasing the morning’s audience on Radio 1, which is now estimated at around 6.5 million listeners.

I first started listened to him a few years ago when I was getting ready for school and ever since then I’ve been an avid listener! To be honest, I couldn’t care what sort of music was playing – It's the fact that I’m waking up to the ‘Chris Moyles' Show’ in the morning that makes my morning that bit more entertaining.

He’s been in the media a few times over ‘slagging off’ of celebrities such as Will Young and Girls Aloud’s Nicola, to name a few. Personally, if I were them, I’d take it with a pinch of salt. People have complained over this, saying that what he says is just not needed, I do agree with them to some extent but the majority of his comments I do find amusing.

Although he finds amusement in ‘slagging’ celebrities off, he does find time to ‘slag’ himself off, even on air; this I like. That the fact that he’s not that interested in his appearance makes him more entertaining and I’m willing to listen to what he has to say.

He was recently in the media for climbing up Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief; the money raised in this climb went straight to Comic Relief and came to a total of £1.6 million – the documentary was fantastic to watch and quite emotional at times.

I have to admit, I religiously listen to The Chris Moyles Show in the Morning, every morning! There’s just something about the show that I love – It’s not routine, nothings every normal! The content is fantastic, I love the ‘Jingles’ used, they hardly make sense but are hilarious all the same…

..Anyway I’m going to leave this for now, before I rant on too much and become a blogger-like-stalker!

Much Love, Franky.

I'm addicted to Friends...

I don’t know what it is but I’m completely addicted to the American comedy series – Friends! I couldn’t care less how many times I’ve seen that ‘the one with…’ episode; I’m still going to watch it over and over again!

You’ve all got to admit it, your all fans too, you’re just in the closet. I don’t understand the people who say they ‘hate’ Friends or just ‘don’t get the humour’ I’m sure there too scared to admit their addiction at the moment.

I must also admit that I am one of those annoying people that will know the script word for word and will not be ashamed to say it – just to irritate the people in the room watching it with me!

I’ve just bought ‘the one with all ten series’ and must admit that it is probably the best purchase ever! No, I don’t regret going into my overdraft to get it, it was definitely an impulse buy!

I think the content of every episode is hilarious and never fails to entertain me. The relationship and comedy timing between the characters is fantastic. I feel like I know them all inside out: Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Chandler, Ross (the legend) and Joey.

I remember being introduced to Friends years ago by my buddy Miss. Beck; she’s one of the many that’s always been a fan. To be honest though, I didn’t think too much of it at first as I had never watched an American comedy before. But after a few episodes I was an avid fan.

I’m not saying devote your life to the series but just give an episode a go. The humour definitely cracks me up when I’m feeling down and will do the same to you if you’re ever in that position. So give an episode a go, you never know you might become an ‘addict’ like me!

Thanks,

Franky,

Ps: Series 10 with the out-takes is hilarious!

Forever Friends...

Recently I’ve been thinking so much about my wonderful buddies back at home, that I thought I would dedicate my next post to them, they all know who they are – too many girlies to name!

We’ve always been pretty close me and my friends and have known each other since day dot. We know everything about each other and most of all we were and still are always there for each other.

I’ll never forget the day when we all started going our separate ways…you girls know what I mean: when boys start coming into the picture, everyone starts having their own independent social life with the ‘current’ boyfriend and work (jobs and school) starts taking over, you don’t have time to meet up as often anymore. At first I was upset when you arrange to meet up with one of your other half’s to find that they have ditched you for the latest squeeze. It did take me some time to get over this, but hey, it’s all part of growing up and all that jazz..

..The thing I love about being so independent these days is that no matter how long it’s been before you see your best bud you always click straight away. There’s no awkwardness. Just pure friendship!

It makes me giggly when we’re together in our own little world, we really don’t care! It’s as if we’re talking a different language that the people around us just don’t understand! That, I love.

I’d love to go back in time and see the what we got up to, all the ‘bitchy drama’s’ we had going on in our lives at that time. It would be awesome (minus the dodgy hair cuts and school uniform..)

What I basically want to say is that, who are we if we don’t have our friends in our life? It makes me think that if they weren’t in my life I wouldn’t be half the person that I am today and it’s all thanks to them. My friends are fantastic people and couldn’t have met a nicer (sometimes crazier) bunch if I tried!

Much Love Franky,

Scientiam Dulce Hauriens...

Sweetly Absorbing Knowledge...

Some of my friends back home decided not to go to University and have got a decent full time job. I hate this. Every time I go back home (which is most weekends!) I envy their steady income and private banter with other non-university friends.

A lot of people that know me will be aware that I am true home bird – and this had very much increased over the past 6 months. I don’t know what it is, but I love going home!

Don’t get me wrong I love being at University, It’s changed me so much as a person and the people here are fantastic. I guess I have the home-sickness bug. I can’t wait for the day I graduate – starting employment, earning a steady income like my fellow friends and having an incredible career I’ll be passionate about.

I know my degree is well worth it, it’s definitely the sector I’ll be working in when I graduate. As many people have told me in the past, it’s not just the degree that matters it’s the whole university experience. If anyone reading this is contemplating going to university I highly recommend it, it’s changed my life on so many different levels.

But for now, I just wanted to say to anyone out there that no matter how tough things are at times keep going, do yourself proud and you will feel so much better after it’s all over – I know I will.

Thanks,

Franky.

Herbal Essences isn't so "Fruity" after all...

I have been a fan of the Herbal Essences products for many years now and I was infuriated to recently find out that the company does in fact practise animal testing on their products.

This (and I'm sure it would with you) shocked me. I was inclined and felt that I should find out more, (being a caring owner of many pet Rabbits and other small fluffy creatures as a child.)

I was shocked to discover that many creatures such as; Rabbits, Rats, Gerbils, Guinea Pigs etc are being used as, well, Guinea Pigs to cover the company’s backs.

It really does go to show that the slightest negative media attention can affect a massive company such as Proctor and Gamble. My 'discovery' has completely changed the way I look at Herbal Essences. I do hope that this negative media attention affects their company and a member from the Herbal Essences Communications department will take the time to look over this.

In the future it will make me think twice about purchasing the “Fruit Fusions" shampoo off the shelf.

When I take a whiff of the “Fruit Fusions” I don’t smell the as – advertised Banana and Eucalyptus; I smell poor Bug’s Bunny’s fear.

As this is my first blog please feel free to leave any comments and tips!

Thanks,

Franky.
